2023 Fiends of Brown Street Park - Halloween Party + Parade

 


The beloved Brown Street Park Halloween Party and Parade is back again this year!
The spook-tacular festivities begin in the park starting at 3:30 PM on Halloween.
This event is free!
There will be a DJ, snacks, games and crafts for kids. The parade around the neighborhood starts at 5:30 PM led by a marching band.

2nd Annual Spooky Streets House Decorating Contest


 

Help us turn College Hill into a ghoulish scene this Halloween. The spookiest house wins prizes! 

Deadline to enter: October 23rd. 

Decorate your house & add it to the map via bit.ly/FBSPspookystreets by October 23rd. 

The winner will be announced on Halloween!

Contest is open to residents of the "Fiends of Brown Street Park" Spooky Streets boundaries: bordered by Olney Street, Benefit Street, Angell Street, and Thayer Street.

A team of judges and popular Instagram/Facebook vote will select the winner. 

The Friends of Brown Street Park's Spooky Streets House Decorating Contest is also supported by the College Hill Neighborhood AssociationMile of History Association, Partnership for Providence ParksProvidence Department of Recreation.

Please join us for a Movie Night in the Park! We will start with Storytelling with Marc Kohler at 7pm and our movie of the night will be BEETHOVEN beginning at 8 PM. Bring a blanket!
COVID precautions such as child masks, physical distancing, and maintaining pods are recommended.

Join us for a socially distant Park Planting and Plant Exchange Day. Bring your clearly marked bulbs, hostas, daylilies, perennials, collected seeds, and outdoor plant divisions to plant along the park’s fence line or exchange and find something new that you have been waiting for! BAG, TAG, and DRAG your offerings to trade or give away to other gardeners. No money is involved, come with your plants and enjoy a socially distant planting or exchange. Please label all of your plants!

We ask that you please stay home if you have tested positive for COVID, are currently experiencing COVID symptoms, have been in close contact with a positive COVID case, or have otherwise been instructed to quarantine. All attendees must wear face coverings and will be asked for provide contact information for contact tracing purposes.
