We got another grant!
We are very happy to have received a Neighborhood Performing Arts Initiative grant from the City of Providence, Mayor David N. Cicilline, the Department of Art, Culture & Tourism, and the Department of Public Parks. Friends of Brown Street Park will host four music events with a healthy twist this summer for everyone in the community to enjoy. Look for our website for details in the coming month. If you are interested in volunteering for the events in this series, please email Brenda Shannon.

RISD Sculptures coming to the Park
We are very pleased to have been selected by the Parks Department to partner with the RISD Architectural Department on a spring project to be incorporated into the Brown Street Park grounds.Six architectural on-site installations that can be used by children will be constructed and will remain within the park for a limited time. These structures will reflect the integrity of the neighborhood and park space and continue to work well within the focus of FBSP to promote creative play and spark imagination for children of all ages.
