The Double Decker Dance Band plays afro-pop, reggae, and other dance music. It's led by Liberian-born songwriter, singer, guitarist, and keyboard player Joseph Paye and also includes drummer Matt McLaren, guitarist Chris Monti, bassist Scott Reber, keyboardist Jacob Haller, percussionist Elvys Ortiz, and singer Michelle Brown. They've backed up Sierra Leone sensation Steady Bongo and have opened for the Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars.
The “Celebrate Providence!” Neighborhood Performing Arts Series is presented and sponsored by the City of Providence, Angel Taveras, Mayor, the Department of Art, Culture + Tourism, and the Department of Parks & Recreation.
